rob_RA40 Forums Junkie Location: c'town, NSW Registered: May 2002	Re: Need front yoke? to suit 1jz-gte manual gearbox Wed, 12 February 2003 21:02 the reason we ask this is that if there is a way to get the R154 into a celica trans tunnel without having to cut it out and weld in a new one then it will save a lot of hassle when people do engine conversions or drivetrain upgrades. many of us have yet to see proof that the R154 will fit without cutting the tunnel, if we do then it can end up being quite a relief for people organising future projects. most people who ask about putting a R154 into their celica on these forums get told to either cut the tunnel or just put up with a W58, and this info usually comes from people who haven't tried to fit one (hell i think ive even given this advice before). getting some good proof (pictures) should be able to clear up a few things. anyways have a good one....
