Ya all may be running BOV's with your AFM engines, but think where the measurements for air volume are taken. The ECU calculates this from AFM signal. If you have a BOV fitted, you are venting some of the air, which has been used in the calculation by the ECU. When your BOV dumps this air to atmosphere, there is nothing to compensate for the loss. You will end up with a richer than required air fuel mixture.
Results:
Fouled plugs,
Sooty exhaust, and
A lighter wallet.
That is if you are not, using a recirculating BOV.
