just a quick Q, which bit are you trying to save???
if you are just trying to get the strut and aformentioned bush bits off the stub, could you just drill out the bush 90% with a drill bit, and make it easier to rip out? then do the angle grinder jiggidy jig to make it purdy again?
if she's a bit rusty inside, the combination of expansion and chemical bonding of the rusting process will make it very nasty to get off indeed, with no love for you or the strut...
methinks gently seperating inner crush tube from the outer bit by removing as much rubber as possible.. might be the only happy way
