The TA12, TA22, TA23, TE27, TE37, TE30, TE51, TE55, TE61, TE65 etc had the shorter more forward shifter position. (more direct, need to pull up for reverse)
TE71, TE72, AE71, AE85, AE86, AA60 etc had the longer more rearward shift position.
I think all of them have a 21t spline input shaft. TA22/TE72 have a 20t output shaft.
