The antenna in the glass is the Diversity Antenna, (small plug). The radio still uses the telescopic for its primary reception. Trying to hook up the diversity as well as the primary is not going to give you any gain in reception with an aftermarket head unit.
In response to the original question, the antenna trigger is a black/red wire and a pink/blue wire. The pink/blue is usually an amp trigger only but in some Toyota's power is required on this wire as well to make the aerial function.
