My friend at the CSIRO is organising a big rollout of this sort of stuff.
Here is what he had to say in response to your query:

well, we are using the Polycom vsx 7000, 7000s and 8000. I know that units from Tanberg are widely used also in other organisation. We are moving away from netmeeting as this is no longer support by Microsoft. 7000 and 7000s (new) are more suitable for small to medium rooms where the 8000 are for integrations with large rooms like lecture theatres and auditorium.
