Nope its not a misprint Smile there are no bearings for the cams in a G head, they sit in a machined piece of the head, thats why if you have scraped cam holders you throw the head away, the only thing other than the cams that I could think of is the alternator driven gear but its highly unlikely that it would "knock"

if it increases with revs Id say you should start looking for a new head Confused
