haha mr 1j....i was thinking the exact same thing. Not everyone thinks tofu delivery is the only occupation for a toyota driver...
Especially if i turn out to be pretty good at it (years of motorkhana/khanacross/rallying experience) Sponsors are more likely to notice a unique car performing well, rather than a bunch of corollas doing mediocre 
You dont need to spend massive dollars on gear for my car, especially when i work with CNC machinery as a day job and have a little nouse to make some suspension bits!
The engine is sorted...a 1jz with a bit of boost, yum cha cooler, exhaust and cold air is fine for starting out, and once john from importbitz gets back to me, i'll have a R154 heading my way once it lands!
As for suspension, i'm thinking i'll get/turn some weld on strut adjusters and throw in some konis...i know shane did this on 1jz-747 and it allowed for him to run 10s, so why cant they perform just as well for drift? They dont list them on the online catelogue so i'll have to ask at my suspension dude.
Thanks for all the replys guys, i think i'll just buy a trans cooler and get enzed to plum it along with the non speed adjusting mx83 rack...just gotta find a spot for it
