Wed, 12 October 2005 10:59 hint for a tune up for a 4AGE.. tools 12mm spanner.. timing light.. providing your using 98 octane or the equivilent optimax/ultimate etc, have decent plugs (iridium etc) new dizzy cap/button, and the engine is in overall good condition..wind about 27 degrees advance into the base timing..don't forget to jump T1 (or TE1) and E1 with a small bit of wire, to disable the ecu retard/advance on idle.. you'll physically notice the difference! if it pings a little back off a tiny bit..but 25-27 you should be pretty good matty [Report message to a moderator]
