Hey there, LPG works really well in a car's aircon (as long as there are no leaks for it to be ignited)

Seriously that is a stupid thing to post on a forum because even though you may be joking, some people might not see that and think you are serious.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE LPG IN YOUR AIRCON.

when changeing from the old r12 gas to the new r132 gas

The "new" gas is R134a Wink .

if ur running the old aircon sys with the gas that damages the ozone u need to make up NEW lines
cause they are porous n will seap out the lines

Actually they are saying now that R134a damages the ozone layer as well. You should have new hoses made from "barrier hose" but I don't think we have ever done this unless the hoses were damaged.

kwayzivietnamese: If your air con needs regassing then it will have a leak somewhere. This needs repairing before a regas so you need to factor in repair costs into the regas price. You will be able to find someone who will just gas it for you and take your money but you will be back where you started next year when the gas has leaked out again. If you plan on keeping the car, spend the extra money and have it repaired properly.
Visit a few workshops in your area and get some quotes. The price will depend on what problems it has and whether it needs to be converted to R134a.

Sorry for the essay guys and I hope I didn't offend anyone with my comments Cool .
