OK . the idiot isn't an authorised officer at all.

you should have ignored him and gone to the police..

you can tell him next time that you've made a complainy about him to the police and add nothing more.

This is a long winded way of saying you were subject to:
trespass, assault and criminal damage

Don't discuss it any further here, see the police now before the memory and impact of the occaision is lost.

You should encourage your neighbors to be willing to make statements in support of your complain but do not outline your exact complaint to them. Simply guage your community support in case the police want to rely on them for verification.

age is no protection against arrest and conviction of a crime that carries a jail term as a sanction.

If someone commits an offence, the police will charge/arrest people according to the evidence and statements available to them. Only a magistrate/judge can decide if someone's agge and mental state is a contributor to the offence.

The police may err on the side of caution in regards to elderly people. but trespass, assault, criminal damage and racial vilification are all offences that could (depending on severity) result in jail terms if a conviction is obtained.

Dont just rely on the criminal compliant:
-keep a diary of events
-ask your friends to make statements of events they witness
-get an AVO (you should be able to do this regardless of the state of your criminal compliant - plus a magistrates appearance will re-enforce the order).
-be prepared to stick it out to the bitter end (this old bastard will take great delight and personal vindication if you suddenly drop the complaint)
-dont rely on the one complaint - every single time the old bugger breaks the law, make a complaint.

do exactly as stated above... dont go talking to the guy saying you are taking action it will only provoke him more.

my advice would be (assuming he is doing this each time) is to make note and push the racial card. if he is hassling you becasue you are asian and the police reports state as such then as unfair as it is (in either direction) it is more likley to get taken a little more seriously.

as much as this pisses you off keep your cool and dont do anything to him. make sure you take all your actions though the proper channels... ie go down to the local police station and get everything in writing.

if they end up with a complaint (or a few) even before it gets to the stage of AVO's etc they will likley go and knock on his door which is usually enough to give them a scare enough to step back.
