sideshow Forums Junkie Location: sydney Registered: March 2003	Re: OBD Serial Data Mon, 17 October 2005 11:55 its not that easy my snap on scanner is worth 5000 bucks and it works sometimes on the diagnostic plug in the engine bay it wont work on some but it will on the diagnostic plug under the steering wheel area its ok but its just rhe basics like o2 temp timing most of the stuff u can read with multimeter not worth that much money or u can get a karman scanner theyre worth over 12000 or u can buy a device called a techtom they come from japan and plug into the diagnostic plugs i have seen and used the ones for nissans but not touched th eones for toyotas for oen that will give u speed air flow meter volts and maybe 2 or 3 others they range about 800 bucks u basically need to decifer what comes out of vf2 but in th eend a multimeter is a much better tool than a scanner if u know how to use it [Report message to a moderator]
