Some of the cheaper ones will overheat on a 40+ day. Probably a good idea to check the operational temp rating.

I have had two alarms/immobilisers that did this. It really sucke waiting around in a car park for half an hour with the doors open, trying to get the alarm cool enough to disarm it.
