kewp Regular Location: wollongong Registered: March 2004	Re: 4agze with bov Tue, 18 October 2005 11:35 i've heard a commodore v6 with a SC14 and a BOV, it didn't sound like a normal BOV, it sounded like a whip crack (ie. a very short sharp sound, not a pssshhhh). I think it's because the boost from the supercharger cuts instantly when the clutch turns off and there is not much boost for the BOV to vent, thus the short sharp sound. With a turbo the psssshhhh noise is because the turbo is still pumping large amounts of air for a short time after the throttle closes, whereas the supercharger stops pumping instantly. I think?
