Jaycar HEI..... works with points jst as well as both my internal and external ignitor 4KE and 5K dizzies (which were brand new from toyota Razz

LOL, that must be it Razz

i've used bosch black "electronic" coils, same shape as the GT40's and they work well, i've used Lucas electronic oil coils,... i've tried many coils Wink

the only two that failed were the GT40 and GT40R .

and Silicon chip put out a correction a few articles later saying that SPECIFICALLY the orange Bosch GT40 coil would fail with the longer dwell time... and it does... i'm not knocking bosch, just those two coils (GT40 and GT40R) cannot handle longer than points dwell time Wink

High speed flap... the one that has the counterweight on it.. sits above the secondary throttle flap...

i'm just sharing my experience, and the recommendations later published by silicon chip..

and if you check the box o the GT40 series, it says they are specifically for points.. they are NOT to be used with elec ignition Wink

or they should Razz
