by all means, dont get the wrong idea - obviously you and i have had different experience with bosch components (gt40 and R) - I have points ignition in my ke70 4k and i find no reason to think the coils are shit, if bosch recommends them for my car, i'll get it.. if it ucks out.. well i'll share your opinion and gather the same experience but for now.. i think it's good quality. I have honestly never seen a bosch gt40 coil fuk out in my 3 years man. I only said i worked in an auto electrics shop to basically tell you that i have seen heaps of gt40s in escorts and all sorts of cars and have not had one of them play up. tradesmen there will tell you the same thing man. Maybe you just got duds or something. (unlikely, but possible) You'd think they would stop production or attempt to rectify the coil problems claimed by the magazine (maybe they did???) So your 5k dizzy isnt electronic? will check that flap tomorrow? is it esay to remove? My gap is .8mm i think or 1.2 just standard bosch gap for 4kc plug. thanks kane [Report message to a moderator]
