both 4K and 5K dizies were electronic. both brand new. 4K has external ignitor. 5K has internal ignitor. i also use a K denso dizzy with the HEI as it has external base advance adjustment. yes, easy to remove. just take out screws and leave shaft. maybe wire up the linkage so it doesn't get in the way. for electronic assisted ignition, i would recommend 0.8mm for points ignition, 0.65-0.7mm 1.2mm is far too large for a small coil to jump, and it results in missing issues as the spark gets blown out or doesn't ignite the mixture properly. this is based on my build up experience of about 5 or 6 years ago, and found the issue most at highway speeds when the motor was loaded up more. if you are hapy with the coil, then good. but the first mod i recommend to people for even stock K motors is to get a Jaycar HEI to use with the points, as it will be the basis for all other performance gains.
