yer ive had the cam gears off the cams, i had to remove the cams, theyve gone back in the same way they came out, the crank and cams remain in the same spot that they came out on, but if i bring the crank round to tdc, the cams would need to come round which brings me back to the slits in the cams and the drill marks on the cups, yer cam gears like you said the books, faq's etc tell me this but the only place i can see that it mentions slits in the cams has to do with valve timing, this would need to be done also to time the cams do the gears and crank correct?
i would think so anyway or the cams would be out of timing to the crank
