	you can try but a leaf sprung live axel rear end isnt going to be much fun, having no weight at the back of the car isnt going to be beneficial on a drifter as you will have zero high speed stability.. 
 
Im with sideshow on this one...airbag it, give it a good paintjob and rip some skids...just dont spend a lot of time restoring something like that and then plough it into a wall
