Tue, 25 October 2005 23:25 phrostbyte, ok, i may have been a bit harsh in my comments just dont like to see people getting missguided imformation, i know ive had plenty in my time, if you cant give someone good quality advise on here dont give advise. there are a fair few people on here now with modified 1gs, and just about all of the setups are different in one way or another, from what i understand stradlaters car (please take no offence at this) is pretty well modified apart from opening the engine. he has run a 12.6 or watever making just over 200kw (please correct me if im wrong) my car is in the same boat running a 12.4 or watever making just over 200kw. my car is pretty much as modified as it can be other than opening up the engine. but on the other hand you have toy 77 making the same power, running the same times pretty much as strad and me and he has standard everything, everthing down to computer, afm, injectors ect, so theres the proof that it does work and works fucking well, so why spend all your money on all these mods to get the same result if you dont have too? on the other hand aswell you have emp-2tg, making really good numbers with his with no real special tricks just done every thing right, and done it well and on an unopened 1g, congrats josh, im onto my third 1gwith no where near the kind of power josh is making, there are a few others around making really good numbers on there standard motors, i cant keep them together, so its know time to build a motor, with hopefully fixing the problem of why the motors were blowing up in the first place ive had the 1g in my celica for about 8 years now, and have been playing around with the single turbo conversion for about 2 and a half years now also, so pretty much no them inside out also oh and as for diff ratios, im running 4.3, and was well into 5th gear crossing the line on my 12.4 sec pass, though i was running smaller tyres than wat your intending to run, but 4.8 is bloody short, youll need big tyres and a shitload of horsepower to run 126mph. sorry for the rant just clearing myself up [Updated on: Tue, 25 October 2005 23:33] [Report message to a moderator]
