If you have ya rear leafs set lower and harder with maybe 1 xtra short leaf at the bottom, then get a set of tramp bars, they work wonders(but the coppers dont like them) i had the same problem in a mk11 cortina, with a very well worked motor. I had the leafs reset, and an extra short leaf in the bottom, helped a bit, then got a set of tramp bars. Take off as quick as ya like and cook it up for as long as ya want with no axle tramp.
