Thu, 27 October 2005 06:02 I have checked the site you gave me against my MX83 cressida's Axle Code and from these two, if I am right then I get the following... A340E G312 A340E = Gearbox? G = 8" Ring Gear 31 = 3.909 Ratio 2 = 2 Pinion, No LSD. Is that website reliable though? Is the 3.909 ratio good enough? When I get the centre out, should I change ratios?? While on this subject, I have already aquired a hilux 4x4 LSD G series for free. But then I remembered, Isn't the hilux G-series got an 8.5" Centre? I fitted an ARB air locker to the front and rear of my gen3 hilux about 2 years ago and the front centre was visually smaller than the rear. I remember something about the ARB guy saying my model have the smaller 8" centre in the front diff. maybe only gen 1 and gen 2 luxies have the 8" front and back?? Are there 2 types of G-series? I checked the ARB website for air-locker applications, and it says there are a few different sizes than those on the motorcity website?? http://www.arb.com.au/alac/alsp/0-00.pdf Is it possible to use the larger diff centre with the larger bearings??
