Might sound noob, but what gain does this gasket give? Something to do with compression? Probably should just search but I cbf ahah.

If it's thinner than a standard head gasket (no idea), then you might get a slight gain in compression - but I think the main point of it is to be very, very hard to blow (in high boost or compression engines).
