Firstly, this is a trial engine, so everything is pretty much left as standard. The bottom end is a completely standard 7A Item except the 4AG pistons and crank timing gear. The head is a small ported, mildly ported, dual valve springs with Big port cams (higher lift and duration) and verniers (from Damo), though these cams may change for a custom grind. Porsche 944, 928 are a bad fit, the 944 is perfect. Few other minor mod's are needed as well that involve the water pump and casing. So far, this engine hasn't be run and is going into a street drive car, the Rev limited will be decided once it's on the dyno. The 7AFE that is raced, is a totally different kettle and it has a redline of 7,500, runs forged everything. This bottom end and a GE head is on the books at a later date, more or less after I replace the current 7AFE with a works 20V.
