i think to a certain extent those laws are bullshit....
obviously if your gonna do laps around a popular street (such as Chapel St., Melb) blasting your stereo, then i got no sympathy if your caught and fined.....this is because there are hundreds of others doing the same thing, and obviously the people who live around there or own a shop there are gonna be pissed off, because it's continuosly, every day & night.....so therefore it's understandable....
but if your just cruising down your neighbourhood street, and u happen to hav your system a little loud, then it's crap that u can get pulled over for such a thing....the most harm that can do is annoy someone for about 2 secs....because u would drive past them quite quickly and they wouldn't be able to hear much. I suppose if your in one spot for a long time and u crank your system, at an unreasonable time of the day, then i can understand people's complaints...
The whole thing is about attitude...and like i said above, those morons with the big heads that like to do laps and deliberately want to draw attention and disturb people, are purely asking for trouble.....i just would like the cops to try and make a distinction between these rev heads, and the other people who have consideration, and are just trying to hav some entertainment on the road.
