may sound shonky, but to make sure your on top dead centre, unscrew plug no.1 and slowly insert a thin but long object, and no im not necessarily saying a screwdriver(something like a long cable tie or something), in the cylinder and then turn your crank over with you ratchet (make sure your ignition is off).. you will notice wen top dead centre is OK wen the object you inserted pauses for a "milli second" before it starts going back down, another thing is make sure your rotor button is on NO:1
