surely you can stick a stock 18RG in. They go like stink with standard carbs, compression, cams etc. I suggest this cause i noticed you were racing an XT130, which never came with an R motor, rather a 1X series commodore crossfire motor. So if you are allowed to change to an 18R, surely you can use an 18RG. Toyota suggests 146hp for the 88230 headed motor with cast exhaust manifold and restrictive airbox. Add intake bellmouths, foam sock air cleaners and extractors, and you have a recipe for a motor which will run all day every day at high rpm, and produce funtastic power. As for electronic ignition, take the guts from a 21RC/22R dizzy, as well as the coil and ignitor from same. Ive heard about these motors being used for speedway cars before and running flat at 7000rpm all night every night without failure.
Cheers, Owen
