OK, I am somewhat a psx copying grand master, I had boxes of the things, I got a little carried away when I got the burner.
Don't worry about the speed, burn at whatever your comp usually burns at, wont make a difference to the psx game (unless you ger burrer underruns and shit)
turning the psx upside down does help, the prob with them is the track that the laser moves in is plastic and wears out, more on one side than the othern so it ends up on an angle, turning it upside down makes it rest on the top tracks (which also wear down eventually.
If upside down doesn't work, you can also adjust the laser focus, this often helps if you are having trouble playing shit disks.
When copying the games, I always had trouble with games that needed to be patched, I think it was my burner (crappy old acer) because I could do it on friends no worries. Straight copy games worked fine though.
Are you copying games that need patching? if so are you applying the patches? try a game that doesn't need patching and see if it works.
I only ever used cdrwin and copied the cd image to a bin file to the comp then made the cd using the image.
check www.gamecopyworld.com for info on patches.
Now, can anyone help me in copying (ripping) ps2 dvd's?? I haven't had one work yet but I think it is the same probs that I had with patched psx games.
