Microtech ECU's?

Hey, this is a question for the Microtech people, I'm not doing anything about it, but I am curious.
What is the difference between the LTX series and the MTX series? I know the LTX is newer, but what is better about it? I was just thinking, everyone bags the Microtech for its fuel economy and lack of resolution, but then again, every review I've seen is for the MTX series, so I'd say thats what they are basing it on.
I just noticed that SUPRAGTE uses a LXT8, and he is one of Microtechs biggest advocates, so maybe you could best explain it
