Josh,

Cannot help with optimal tyre pressures.

Basically to lessen the grip at the back try dropping rear pressures down from the 40psi. Keep the fronts at 40psi, ideally when hot.

Start with rears around 32 to 34psi, then go for a run. If the outside edge is starting to roll over and there are signs of wear passed the little triagulated tyre wear indicator markers then maybe increase the pressures a little.

Tyres form part of the suspension of the car. Increaseing the rear tyre pressures stiffens up the rear tyre sidewalls, this reduces the tyre roll over, hence more tread on the raod and more even grip across the two rear tyres and that means usually the car has a bit less steering at the front.

The idea is to reduce the grip of the outside rear tyre by increasing the tyre roll over and hence resulting in less grip available for turning so the outside tyre starts to slide sooner, which is exactly what is needed in drifting.

As an allternate. Increasing the roll stiffness by using a heavier rear swaybar increases front end steering and reduces rear end grip.

Regards

Rodger
