Dude, it's TV. she'll keep walking for 4-6 eps, then die. Meanwhile her twin sister who she was separated at birth from will return to her graveside, switch identities and credit her recovery to (insert fav religon here).
All this is done to escape her gambling debts in las vegas where the CSI boys are investigating her dissapearance. She obviously went through NY which leads to the CSI:NY tie in. Killed someone on the way where Law & order are investigating.
She will then have be incredibly famous and get fat, end up on celebrity makeover.
All this for the mother of all TV show tie-ins.
