I used to be in the same boat as you. Knew very little about cars, motors, and had no idea what all the numers and letters and all that mumbo jumbo they all seemed to speak on these forums was. Now most of these guys know alot more than i do but atleast now i can understand what they are on about. I highly recomend you go to the search function, put in "ae80" and see what comes up in the tech and conversations forums. Read as much about your car as possible. also go here

definitly learn about your car first. Read lots of stuff on here, and if they start talking about things you dont know, (diff, alternator etc...*i know i had no idea what they were till i looked them up*) go look them up at

All i can say is learn as much as you can before throwing your hard earned pennies away. also use your resources, this forum is an awesome resource, post questions if your not sure about something. But remember to use the search function to find it first
