It is connected to the switching wire (bolt at the back) and grounded vis bolting the condensor to the dizzy or any other part of the block/body. I found that my 18R (seems 18R, 18RG use the same dizzy) wouldnt start without the condensor connected. If it does start without it connected, the dizzy will chew through points very quickly, and youll have lots of trouble trying to pick up raido stations on your deck. And, no its not a "electronic" dizzy... its of the old style kettering (sp?) type ignition system. [Updated on: Thu, 27 February 2003 16:59] [Report message to a moderator]
