wow... its amazing what you can learn by reading books and forums 
ok, that dizzy pictured is from an 18R-G that was WORKING just fine previously.. however i have now replaced that into my other 18R-G in the car that wont start, following (roughly) the installation guide given by the 18R engine workbook.
I have since narrowed the problem down to possibly fueling... since there is sparks, but no life in the motor.
Thanks for the help guys... should be going tonight, i hope
