tourerv Regular Location: Sydney Registered: June 2004	Re: Excess Boost Noise out of Pod Filter - Vehicle Examination Failed Tue, 13 December 2005 04:10 I have a big unifilter enclosed in an aluminium airbox feeding a GT30 and using the stock plumb back BOV. The induction noise is very loud. The poor stock BOV cant vent enough boost on back offs so it gets a lot of flutter noise even at low boost. At high boost I get the added swish of the BOV as well as the flutter. The only way to quieten it down I think is to restrict the hell out of it or muffle it with foam as suggested. I haven't bothered at this stage but I probably will get a higher flowing plumback BOV to try and reduce this noise. [Report message to a moderator]
