From what I know, front sumps came in Gen 1 1G-GTE's, 1G-GZEs, and 1G-GEs. Wasn't aware that there were different types of front sump! The mid/rear sumps seem to be the ones found on the later model 1G-GTEs. Soo, if you have a front sump, get a TA23 crossmember. If you have a mid/rear, you have to modify it slightly with a big arse hammer and stick it behind an RA23 crossmember. This applies to RA40s too. Not sure about what you'd do if you had a front sump... My RA60 uses a front sump. [Report message to a moderator]
