Escorts do have a LSD but cost a bucket, a ae86 jap LSD
would be cheaper in the end.
The only lighter LSD that come to mind are fiat 124 / 132 items, but I have heard of weekness problems, you would have to check how much they can handle. You also get disk brake rear with this option. From memory they are fairly high ratio's
