If you have drums on the rear, check them out. I had a similar problem with my SA63 Celica. What was happening is, when you depress your foot on the brake, it also uses the rear brakes, and when the drums need machining and the shoes need replacing, they grab and don't let go.
Possible, just a suggestion!
