TWSTD Regular Location: Auckland, New Zealand Registered: October 2002	Huge smoke problem following turbo conversion! Mon, 03 March 2003 20:07 Ive got a 1997 AE115 4wd wagon with a 7AFE engine. I recently turbocharged it using a T25. Heres the scenario - wondering if anyone can offer any advice! After installation was complete started her up and went for a drive. Masses of blue\grey smoke out the back and smell of burning oil. I was told 1) turbo needs a reco and 2) need to put a restrictor in oil feed to turbo. After a full rebuild of the T25 (with interlocking oil seal) and putting a 2mm restrictor in the oil feed line it *still* smokes HEAPS (although less than before). Has anyone else out there turbocharged a 7AFE (or poss even a 4AGE as they have quite a few similarities) and had similar problems? If so how did you solve them? Any advice welcome!
