Cv's - when driving the car, turn the wheel to full lock in both directions and listen, you will hear a clicking sound. Check the CV boots for tears.

Wheel bearings (esp passenger side front) jack up car and spin wheels listening. If you hear a greating noise or there is play in wheel, ther is most likely a problem with the Wheel bearing or tie rods.

Another indicator on wheel bearing wear is take the mag centre cap or hup cap off and have a look at the hub. If you have any signs of a red dust/powder, the wheel bearings are ont he way out..
