Re: braided BRAKE lines

There are about 15 mobs in OZ making braided brake lines and only ONE of them is street legal - GOODRIDGE. These are the ONLY brand which have performed all the required testing and met the required standards. They cost approx $200~$200 a pair.
If you're in Sydney try Specialised Brake and Clutch at St Marys or Race Brakes at Wetherill Park.
Any self made braided brake line will NOT be legal on the road (assuming someone will actually sell you the parts you need to make one in the first place), may well fail and if it does your insurance co will wash their hands of you if they find them to be the cause of an accident.
The article in Zoom 55 was NOT about brake lines, rather it was a guide for making braided lines to make the engine bay look pretty, such as water, oil lines etc - i.e. lines which are NOT subject to a certain design standards and basically just have to seal whatever they are carrying.
DBA discs are fine. I too have never had any issues with them and if you had attended the recent DBA factory tour organised through Toymods (assuming again you're in Sydney) you would have seen just how much work goes into quality control at DBA.
