i *think* i know what you are on about....
have a look inside the bellhousing, and on the end of the clutch throw-out forks (or whatever they are called) there is a bearing (like a ring) that goes around the input shaft of the gearbox. In my W50 there was these two spring type clips that held the bearing and bearing shaft thingy in, so i undid those, and tapped the centre shaft out from the bearing. THen got the new bearing from my clutch kit and tapped it on until it was all the way down.
Piece of piss really!
