Yah, the unichip is only an input/output signal modifier that needs to be used along with an existing ECU. It has a place where moderate adjustments need to be made to a stock management system, e.g. leaning out WOT slightly, or taking out some advance when boost is wound up. Beyond a certain limit, either the original mapping needs to be altered, or another ECU altogether fitted.
