trueno Newcomer Registered: March 2003	Re: strange noise in 20valve :( Wed, 05 March 2003 05:25 Yeah I've got a gut feeling that it's the gear box as it was a lot louder before I had a gearbox leak fixed. After I got that fixed they topped up the gearbox oil and it was much more quiet, but alas its still there. The question I want to know is what could it actually be wrong with the gear box? Like are syncros buggered or the actual gears buggered or something else? It's some times a bit rough when changing gears, especially if im accelerating fast. I think I will get the gearbox oil drained and replaced to see if that helps. I guess I'm dreading taking it in to the mechanics because it's probally gona be my luck thats its something big and expensive. [Report message to a moderator]
