2tgeu vs 4age?

Hi guys... I know this is stupid. i know the 2tgeu or something like that is toyotas first remarkable twin cam engine... I'd like a basic sum up of the 2tgeu opposed to a 4age. I know theoretically that newer is better. but i heard alot of people do borexstroke these engine to 2 liters. The more information better.
I'd like in generally the pros and cons.
And if possible the engine specs... standard... as well as its potiential after being worked.
Reason being is a mates mates of mine wants to line up with me down dandy. I just wanna know what i'm up with.
