Toluene mix in the fuel needs to be between 20 and 30 % to give an effective octane boost.

It has been shown to be slightly better than the average octane boosters at these concentrations.

We have found a certain fuel catalyst to be a better option, though there are a few cheap detonation inhibitors that can be used, you'd be suprised what they are.

You could always try sniffing my exhaust !!
