I can't say anything about exact figures, but I wouldn't bother boosting octane rating unless you have a pinging problem (which is more likely to be engine cooling or air/fuel mixture cooling related) *or* if you are increasing boost if you have a turbo/super charged engine, or you are planning to raise the compression ratio in your engine. You will get maybe 2 horse power at the top end of your average stock engine from just boosting your fuel octance rating, in an internally modified or boosted engine, then it's a different matter.
