i would NOT use this setup if i where you effectively what you have done is add a bigger volume to the map sensor pressure line this could create a slight delay in the map sensor pressure signal .it MIGHT create a lean situation
I realise the volume is minimal but in engines milliseconds matter .also gauges CAN leak a little this would effectively bleed air from the map line
the filter was there for a reason to prevent the map becoming clogged with oil and condensation and alike .
simply tee any vacuum line other than the map line .and keep boost below 15 psi
easiest way to fit boost gauge fit a small tee pice add a short length of vacuum hose .slide the boost line inside the vacuum hose and fit a cable tie around it add a dob of super glue (where the hoses join) 2 min job
half the factory hoses are fitted using an adhesive and no clamp
just a side note cable tie evry single vacuum hose on a 1j EXCEPT the map that way if for some silly reason you overboost it pops the map line and the engine runs full rich
