Does the VVT solenoid really need a seperate relay? If it's just a switch I would hook it straight up to the aux output. The T-VIS solenoid on my bigport motor was hooked up like this with no problems (eventually).
You need to adjust the aux output to switch off at around 4-4500rpm somewhere, preferably at the same revs as the standard computer.
It's also possible to adjust the aux output to switch on or off at whatever revs or MAP you set.
