hmm..i find it helps when somebody signals out of a roundabout.
ur sposed to signal as soon as you've passed the exit before yours.
Yes this is usually near the apex, but plenty of Sydney drivers don't use their freakin signal lights (when turning right) on a roundabout anyway, and w/ a left signal out, a driver entering at ur exit doesn't have to wait and watch u exit before deciding you are not part of the (too large) minority of drivers somehow unable to indicate right when turning right on a roundabout 
Come to think of it, lots of Sydney drivers don't even signal to turn left on a roundabout!
kingmick: my cousin in his civic si just told me about another civic who kept riding up his arse for AGES..thing is, when they pulled up at red lights, the other civ didn't even try and take him on!? To make it worse, he started riding up his arse again, even having to skid sometimes cos he was accelerating hard to tailgate him. The other civ driver had his gf in the car, so my theory was that they were having a big fight
